Quality Shines For Small Crew At Hamline Invite

Due to the winter-like temperatures and wind, Concordia only took a handful of athletes to the Hamline Invitational. While the quantity wasn’t present in St. Paul, the quality was as three different middle-distance and distance runners posted Cobber all-time Top 25 marks.

Indoor Or Outdoor; Cobber Relay Teams Break Records

Indoor. Outdoor. It doesn’t matter where the race takes place for the Cobber relay teams – they’re going to break a school record. The Concordia 4x100-meter relay team of Emily Rengo, Andie Sandman, Piper Osborne and Kyla Nygaard sprinted into the record book by posting a time of 48.57, which broke the old school record of 48.78 set in 2003.

Cooper Folkestad and Kyla Nygaard earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) North All-Region honors for finishing in the Top 5 in the region in an individual event for the indoor season.

A Good, Good Day For The Cobbers At MIAC Meet

It was a good, good day for Cobber track & field. A school-record started Day 2 of the MIAC Championship Meet and the rest of the Cobbers followed by going low and soaring high as Concordia finished third in the final team standings. Concordia came away with 103 team points in posting its highest finish at a conference indoor meet since 2016.

Cobbers Climb To 2nd Place After Day 1 At MIAC Meet

Senior Jenna Kalevik continued to lead Concordia at the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet. A day after she finished third in the heptathlon, Kalevik won the 60-meter hurdles and finished second in the long jump as she helped the Cobbers climb all the way to second place in the team standings after the first complete day of the MIAC Championship Meet.

Kalevik Continues Cobbers' Top 3 MIAC Pentathlon Streak

Senior Jenna Kalevik continued Concordia’s streak of Top 3 finishers in the MIAC pentathlon as she posted a career-best point total of 3,224 points and finished in third place in the conference indoor multi-event competition. 

Concordia returned to Grand Forks for the second time this season and had an individual break a school record for the fifth straight meet.
Record-Setting Streak Stays Intact

Make it 5-for-5. In all five of the meets the Cobbers have competed in 2025, there has been at least one school record. The Cobbers made another trip up I-29 to UND to compete in the last meet before the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and finished third at the UND Tune-Up meet.

Another Weekend, Another Batch Of School Records

Concordia broke multiple school records for the third straight weekend. Jenna Kalevik, Emily Rengo and the 4x200-meter relay team all bettered program marks at the St. Ben's Invite.

Concordia junior Kyla Nygaard (Maple Grove, Minn.) was named the MIAC Women’s Track of the Week for her record-setting performance at the NDSU Bison Open & Multi-Event Meet.

Nygaard & Rengo Continue Assault On Record Book

The lightning-fast track duo of Kyla Nygaard and Emily Rengo led Concordia at the 2-day NDSU Bison Open and Multi-Event Meet. Both athletes broke the school record in the 300 meters with Nygaard edging Rengo by a mere .14 of a second.

Concordia opened the 2025 season by shattering one school record, posting six event wins and recording nine Top 10 MIAC performances at the annual Cobber Open.

Emily Rengo (Esko, Minn.) and Piper Osborne (Foley, Minn.) were named the MIAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week for their outstanding performances at the season-opening NDSU Dakota Classic.

Concordia Athletics Inducts Six Into Hall Of Fame

Concordia inducted six former student-athletes, including a longtime coach, into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday as part of the annual Homecoming weekend celebration.

Concordia earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors and had a trio of student-athletes named to the All-Academic List.
