A Successful MIAC Start On Relay Night

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (2/15/23)---The annual relay night kicked off the MIAC Championship Meet on Wednesday night.

Concordia used a pair of season-best times to score 48 team points and finish in a tie for sixth place after the first two events of the meet.

The 48 points and T6th place are steps up from last year where the Cobbers were in 7th-place after the first night.

Concordia's top relay of the night came in the second event where the Cobbers clocked a time of 8:27.92, and finished in sixth place, in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The time put up by Hailey Jaeger, Kaitlin Cramer, Jess Bray and Brienna Timm was an impressive 36.93 seconds faster than any other mark posted this season.

The Cobbers started the conference meet by posting a time of 1:57.76 in the 200-yard medley relay. The time recorded by Cramer, Haley Juetten, Bray and Jager was almost 7-seconds faster than the previous season best. The time of 1:57.76 is also .71 of a second faster than the mark from last year's MIAC Meet.
