Top 10 Scholar All-American Team

MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/19/12)-- Concordia earned Scholar All-American Team honors it was announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Cobbers placed eighth in all of Division III with a 3.61 overall grade point average. CC was the second highest ranked MIAC school on the list.  

It is the second straight season that Concordia has earned the prestigious coaches association honor. The Cobbers had a 3.33 team GPA last season and were ranked fourth in the MIAC.

In order for an entire swimming and diving program to achieve Scholar All-America status, squads must have had a combined team grade-point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0-scale. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The top 10 teams to earn Division III Scholar All-America Team honors included Hope College (3.79), Southwestern University (3.69), Augsburg College (3.68), Hiram College (3.67), Cal Tech (3.66), King's College (3.64), Springfield College (3.62), Concordia-Moorhead (3.61), Pomona-Pitzer (3.61) and Connecticut College (3.59).
