Little And Tibbetts Earn MIAC Postseason Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/12/15)—Concordia had a pair of players earn MIAC postseason honors. Madison Little was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team while Ashley Tibbetts was placed on the All-Conference Honorable Mention Team.

Taylor Rasmussen was the team's representative on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

It is the first time that Little and Tibbetts have earned MIAC postseason honors.

The trio of players helped the Cobbers finish with a 13-24 overall record. The 13 total wins is the most in a single season since 2009. Concordia finished the year with a 4-18 mark in conference play and was tied for 10th place. The 10th-place finish is up two spots from their predicted finish of 12th place in the MIAC preseason coaches' poll.

Little had a breakout season by leading the team in batting average, on-base percentage, hits, runs and stolen bases. She finished in the top 20 in the MIAC in at-bats and steals in conference games.

Little finished the year by hitting .343 in league play. She had at least one hit in 16 of the team's 22 conference games. Little had a .396 on-base percentage in the MIAC and had 24 hits to go along with five steals. Little made only one error in the field playing in right field. She had 22 chances and made 18 putouts.

Like Little, Tibbetts also put up career-best numbers in 2015. She led the team in slugging percentage, RBI, doubles and triple against conference opponents. She was tied for sixth in the MIAC in triples with two.  Tibbetts wound up hitting .317 in the MIAC and had a slugging percentage of .444. She also had four doubles and 11 RBI.

Tibbetts hit safely in 11 of the final 14 league games and had a pair of multiple-hit games during that stretch. She had a .917 fielding percentage in league play as the team's starting shortstop. She made just six errors in 72 chances.
