When the MIAC first-round playoff game with St. Catherine was on the line, the Cobbers were at their best. Concordia outscored the Wildcats 41-20 in the second half to erase a 4-point halftime deficit and claim a 61-44 victory.

It was another case of fourth-quarter frostbite for the Cobbers. Concordia trailed Gustavus 45-44 heading into the final period, but then went 2-for-12 from the field, 0-for-8 from outside the arc, were outscored 20-7 and lost 65-51.

It was a case of “evens were odd” in Concordia’s 72-56 loss to Bethel. The Cobbers outscored the Royals 31-29 in the odd-numbered quarters, while Bethel held a 43-23 advantage in the even-numbered periods.
