Anderson Goes Back-To-Back With All-Region Honors

Concordia senior Makayla Anderson was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 9 Third Team. It is the second straight season that Anderson earned D3hoops.com All-Region honors. She was placed on the All-Region 9 Second Team last year after leading the Cobbers to a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Anderson & Sieben Earn Third Straight All-MIAC Honors

Make it three straight seasons for the senior duo of Makayla Anderson and Carlee Sieben to earn MIAC All-Conference honors. Anderson and Sieben were both placed on the 2025 MIAC All-Conference Team as voted by the conference coaches. Anderson was also placed on the MIAC All-Playoff Team.
Final 5 Minutes Tells The Tale In MIAC Quarterfinal

Concordia’s MIAC Quarterfinal playoff match-up with St. Benedict came down to the final 4:45 of the fourth quarter. The Cobbers led 60-52 and appeared to be headed to the conference semifinals. Unfortunately for CC then went 2-for-8 down the stretch, were outscored 16-4 and lost 68-64.
Cobbers Honor Seniors With Home Playoff Game

Concordia celebrated its four stellar seniors in a ceremony at halftime of their game with Carleton, and then the rest of the team honored the group by beating Carleton 68-58 to clinch a home game in the upcoming MIAC playoffs.
60-Point Principle In Effect But Cobbers Clinch

Concordia added to their 60-point principle in their final road game of the regular season at Macalester. The Cobbers could never get on tack on the offensive end of the floor and lost 61-49 to the Scots.
Cobbers Outkick Saints Down The Stretch

Concordia outscored St. Scholastica 10-5 in the final 2:15 of play to rally from an 11-point deficit in the third quarter and came away with a 76-71 win. Makayla Anderson scored a team-high 24 points while Carlee Sieben was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line and added 18 points.

Concordia was outscored 15-4 in a 7-minute stretch sandwiched around halftime which turned their MIAC showdown with Bethel from a close contest into a double-digit deficit.

Concordia senior Makayla Anderson (Bismarck, N.D./Bismarck Century HS) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season after scoring 23 points in each of the Cobbers’ games last week.

Carlee Sieben broke the school record for 3-pointers in a career, finished with a game-high 24 points and led the Cobbers to a critical win at St. Benedict. Concordia has now beaten the Bennies in seven straight games.

In the end it was a win. Concordia needed to come up with a huge defensive stand at the end of regulation to force overtime against St. Olaf and then scored the first seven points of the extra session to come away with a “bend but don’t break” 69-63 win.
Sieben Joins The 1000-Point Club

First-Quarter Stretch Costs Cobbers

Concordia outscored St. Catherine 31-27 in the second half but couldn’t overcome a 14-point halftime deficit and lost 63-53 to the Wildcats. The Cobbers scored 10 of the first 13 points of the game, but St. Catherine responded by scoring 15 consecutive points to take a 20-12 lead into the second period of play.

Winning Grind Continues

The grind continued for the Cobbers. Concordia continues to find ways to win, hold off opponents down the stretch and climb in the MIAC standings. On Wednesday, the Cobber refused to give up the lead in the fourth quarter against Macalester and walked away with a 64-59 win over the Scots.

A second consecutive Saturday trip turned into a second straight nail-biter for the Cobbers. Concordia led for 39:01 of the 40:00 minutes in their game at Carleton but only held a double-digit lead for 1:35 as they battled their way to a 54-48 win over the Knights.
