Anderson Goes Back-To-Back With All-Region Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/18/25)---Concordia senior Makayla Anderson (Bismarck, N.D./Bismarck Century HS) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 9 Third Team. 

 

It is the second straight season that Anderson earned D3hoops.com All-Region honors. She was placed on the All-Region 9 Second Team last year after leading the Cobbers to a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Anderson also becomes the fifth player in program history to earn multiple D3hoops.com awards and is the first since current Concordia Assistant Coach Alley Fisher won back-to-back All-Region honors in 2014 and 2015. In addition to Fisher, Anderson joins Erica Nord (2010 & 2011), Melanie Hageman (2006, 2007 & 2008) and Mandy Pearson (2004 and 2005) as multiple All-Region honorees. 

 

Anderson led the MIAC in rebounding on total games with an 8.3 rebounds per game average. She collected at least eight rebounds in 15 of the 25 games she played and posted a double-digit rebound total on nine occasions. 

 

Anderson finished the year by averaging 15.4 points per game, which was third best in the conference. She scored in double figures in 21 games and posted a season-high 26 points in the Cobbers' win over Wis-Stout who advanced to the DIII Final 4 in 2025. 

 

Anderson finished her Cobber career with 1,218 points and 774 rebounds. She is one of only five players in program history to score at least 1,000 points and record at least 750 rebounds in a career.
