Hatlevig Leads Cobbers In Northfield

NORTHFIELD, Minn. (9/16/23)---Senior Elsie Hatlevig led Concordia at the annual Running of the Cows Meet hosted by Carleton on the same course that will serve as the venue for the MIAC Championship Meet.   

Hatlevig was the No.1 finisher for the Cobbers, who placed 11th in the final team standings. CC was only three points shy of the Top 10 as all five of their top runners finish in the Top 80 of scoring athletes.    

Hatlevig covered the 6K course in a time of 25:15 as she averaged 6:46.2 per mile. It's the first time this season that Hatlevig and the rest of the Cobbers have competed on a full 6K course.

Freshman Amelia Rowley was the team's No.2 finisher. She crossed the line in a time of 25:21.   

Freshman Grace Ingebretsen and sophomore Sophia Revoir finished within 7 seconds of one another as Concordia's No.3 and 4 runners at the meet. Ingebretson, who led the Cobbers at the season opener at MSUM, clocked a 26:17, and Revoir was right behind at 26:23.

Airial Johnson completed the Cobbers' scoring team. She finished with a time of 26:58.
 
UP NEXT: Concordia will have a 2-week break before returning to competition at the Wis.-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational on Sept. 29.
