Rugloski Leads Cobbers At MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet

MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/09/22)---Senior Emily Rugloski led Concordia at the annual MSU Moorhead Twilight Meet at the Bluestem Amphitheater.

Rugloski ran a 15:11.8 over the 4K course as the Cobbers finished in seventh place in the team standings in which they were the only non-Division I, II or NAIA team.

Rugloski's finishing time was good for 32nd place, and was a faster pace than her time at last year's meet which was over a 5000-meter course.

Fellow senior Amelia Landsverk broke out of a pack of runners and was the team's No.2 finisher. She posted a time of 15:21.34 which was 20-seconds ahead of a pack of six Concordia athletes who all finished within 11-seconds of one another.

Freshman Kiya McLaurin led the group of six Cobbers with a time of 15:41.30. Senior Kelly Lorenz crossed the line less than a second later with a mark of 15:41.64.

Sophomore Airial Johnson was the team's final scoring finisher. She posted a time of 15:47.59, and beat the trio of Sophia Revoir, Drew Frolek and Eden Smith to the line by 2.78 seconds.

UP NEXT: The Cobbers will return to the prestigious Roy Griak Invite hosted by the University of Minnesota after not competing in the meet since the 2017 season. The race will be held at the Les Bolstad GC on Friday, Sept. 23 at 12:45 p.m.
