Former Cobber Forknell Hired As Head Coach

MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/10/23)----Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced that former Cobber athlete, and assistant coach, Jenna Forknell has been hired as the new head coach for the women's tennis program.

Forknell, who takes over for Zach Zitur, who resigned in the spring, becomes the 11th head coach in the history of the program since 1991.

"We are excited to welcome Jenna back to Concordia in her new role as head coach," Bergeson said. "Our women's tennis program will benefit from her experience as a Cobber tennis player and her connections to the greater tennis community."

Forknell is a 2021 graduate of Concordia and played on the Cobber women's tennis team for four years. After graduation, Forknell joined the Cobber staff as an assistant coach for the 2022 season.

Forknell, who played high school tennis for Fargo Davies, is also a patient care technician for the Sanford Health OB/GYN clinics in Fargo.
