Zitur Resigns As Head Coach

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/10/23)---Zach Zitur announced his resignation as head coach for the Cobber women's tennis program.

"I decided to leave to pursue other career opportunities," Zitur said. "I have loved getting to know so many student-athletes during my time and seeing the impact they have in the wider world after graduating from Concordia."

Zitur was the head coach for the women's program for five seasons starting in 2019. During that time, he also served as the head coach for the men's team for three seasons from 2019-21.

Zitur guided the Cobbers to a 9-win season in 2023, the most overall wins by a Concordia team since 2012. The Cobbers went 2-8 in conference play and finished in ninth place.

Zitur finished his five seasons at the helm of the Cobbers with a 26-57 overall.

Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced that the search for a new women's tennis head coach will begin immediately.
