Bio

Jason Gregoire returned for his second stint as head coach of the Cobbers in the spring of 2023.   

Gregoire left Concordia at the end of the 2018 season to become the Hockey Director for the West Fargo youth hockey program. He stayed in that role until 2022, when he moved to Moorhead to become the Hockey Director for the Moorhead Youth Hockey Association. As Hockey Director, he was in charge of all programming, scheduling, communication, player placement, player development, coach development and committee oversight.

Gregoire took over as head coach for the Cobbers at the start of the 2015 season and helped the Cobbers reach the playoffs in four consecutive seasons. Gregoire won at least nine games in all four seasons and finished with a 47-46-12 overall record.

Gregoire guided Concordia to a Top 5 finish in the conference standings in all four seasons on the bench. He won 37 MIAC games during his tenure and posted a record of 37-25-10. Gregoire also got the Cobbers to the MIAC semifinals in three of the four seasons he was behind the bench for the Cobbers.  

Gregoire played collegiately for the Cobbers after competing at the University of Minnesota Duluth for two seasons. He played goalie for the Bulldogs during the 1999-00 and 2000-01 seasons.

Gregoire also played for the USA Select final teams in both the 16 and 17 age categories. He went on to play junior hockey in the Junior A level for two seasons and was selected to the North American Hockey League all-star game during his season with the Bismarck Bobcats in 1997-98.
