Cobbers Drop Second Game In Northfield

BLAINE, Minn. (1/28/23)---It was a long weekend for the Cobber offense in their series at St. Olaf. Concordia was shutout for the second straight game and dropped a 5-0 decision to the Oles on Saturday.

The Cobbers skated through a scoreless first period with St. Olaf, but then the Oles scored in the second minute of the middle period, added two more before the break and tacked on a pair in the third stanza.

Despite being outscored in the final 40 minutes of play, Concordia held a 22-17 advantage in the final two periods.

St. Olaf (12-5-2, 8-3-1 MIAC) held a 37-24 advantage in total shots for the game.

Freshman Morgan Sauvageau led Concordia with six shots on goal. Senior Grace Doerring was the only other CC player with more than two shots as she finished with four shots for the game.

Senior Kiana Flaig made 32 saves in goal for the Cobbers.

Concordia was 0-for-5 on the power, while the Oles were held scoreless in their three PP attempts.
