Fans of the Fargo-Moorhead area basketball scene will recognize the newest addition to Cobber women’s basketball coaching staff. Jared Bledsoe joins Concordia for the 2012-13 season after a successful stint as the head coach of the Oak Grove High School girls’ team.

As a player, Bledsoe played collegiately for MSU Moorhead where he was a two-time All-NSIC selection and led the Dragons in scoring during the 2002-03 year. He averaged 19.4 points per game in his senior season.

After his final year at MSU Moorhead, Bledsoe went on to play professionally for five seasons. He started his professional career in the Continental Basketball Association and then with the Grand Rapids Flight of the International Basketball League where became the first player in league history to record a triple-double. Bledsoe then went overseas and played in the Netherlands and Saudi Arabi. His best international season came in 2008 when he averaged 29.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 rebounds per game while playing for the Holland Blast.

Bledsoe possesses an extensive knowledge of the game and an expertise in player skill development.
