Jessica Rahman is entering her 16th season as head women's basketball coach. In her first 15 seasons she has guided Concordia to a 265-135 overall mark and 13 appearances in the MIAC postseason tournament. She has also helped the Cobbers to a pair of conference playoff championships and three trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Rahman is the winningest coach in the history of the program. Her 265 victories heading into the 2018-19 season is over 100 more than the next coach on the career win list.

Rahman, formerly Jessica Beachy, was a four-time All-American standout at Concordia and helped the Cobbers win the national championship in the 1987-88 season. She is the school's all-time leading scorer and was inducted into the Concordia Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998.

Rahman is the ninth head coach in the history of Concordia women's basketball.

After graduating magna cum laude from Concordia in 1988, Rahman earned an M.A. degree in education from North Dakota State University in 1998. She was the assistant women's basketball coach at Concordia from 1991-93. She left Concordia and became the Christian Education Director at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, N.Dak. While working as education director she was the assistant women's coach at Jamestown College from 1995-96. Following her stint at Jamestown she was the head girl's basketball coach at Dickinson (N.D.) High School in 1998 and 1999. She then moved to St. Cloud to take her current position.

Jessica Rahman, originally from Staples, Minn., came to Concordia in 1984 after a highly successful high school career at Staples-Motley. In her four years at Concordia, she helped the Cobbers win 96 of the 118 games in which she played.

As a first-year player, she was a major contributor on a team that reached the NCAA Tournament. She earned All-MIAC honors in her first year, was named to the West Region All-Tournament Team and was named a First-Year All-American.

As a sophomore, she helped the Lady Cobbers post a 25-3 record, win the MIAC title, and advance to the West Region Championship game. She still holds the MIAC record for sophomore scoring at 19.7 points per game. She was named All-MIAC and All-American.

In her junior year the Lady Cobbers again won the MIAC and then finished as runners-up in the NCAA Division III Tournament. She was named MIAC Most Valuable Player and a first team All-American.

In 1987-88 the Lady Cobbers went 29-2, captured their third-consecutive MIAC title, and won the NCAA Championship in Concordia's Memorial Auditorium. She was again named All-MIAC and a first team All-American. She was also honored with the NCAA Division III Player of the Year in 1988. To go along with her Player of the Year award, she was given the Honda Award as the NCAA Division III Female Athlete of the Year and earned one of the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships.

Rahman ended her Concordia career with 2,101 points - 17.8 points per game. She still holds the MIAC record for career points with 1,491 - 17.8 points per game.

Along with her coaching duties, Rahman teaches in the Health and Physical Education Department.
