Starting Gate To Finish Line In Northfield

NORTHFIELD, Minn. (01/10/24)---Concordia scored the first seven points in their MIAC match-up at St. Olaf, never trailed in the game and rolled to an 87-67 win.

The victory is the seventh in the last eight games for the Cobbers, who move to 8-3 overall and 7-1 in the MIAC. The Oles drop to 2-10 in all games and 1-7 in league play.

Concordia had four players finish with a double-digit point total. Carlee Sieben was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line and finished with a game-high 20 points. It is Sieben's fourth game of the year with at least 20 points. She also added six rebounds and three assists.

Junior post player Makayla Anderson led all players with nine rebounds. She came away with 16 points, and like Sieben, didn't miss a foul shot (6-for-6).

Emily Beseman was 7-for-10 from the floor and matched Anderson's 16-point total.

First-year forward Genevieve Gruba was 5-for-7 from the floor and put up a season-high 11 points. It is her second double-digit scoring output of the season.  
 
UP NEXT: Concordia will stay on the road and head to Duluth to take on St. Scholastica on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m.
