Olson Leads Pack Of PR Performances At Regional Meet

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (11/11/23)---Tanner Olson finished the season the same way he started it – by leading Concordia to the finish line.

Olson finished his senior season by recording a personal record time of 25:41 at the NCAA North Region Meet held at Wis.-Eau Claire. Olson's finishing time was a PR by 20 seconds over the 8K course and more than a full minute faster than he posted on the same course earlier in the year.

Olson crossed the line in 67th place out of 199 athletes in the meet. It was his highest finish at an NCAA Region Meet and helped Concordia place 17th in the team standings. Last year, Olson finished the region meet with a time of 25:56.5 and came home in 108th place.

The Cobbers also finished sixth among MIAC schools, a 1-spot improvement over their standing at the MIAC Meet.

Concordia had six of their seven runners at the meet post personal best times and had all three seniors on the squad record their lifetime best marks at the regional race.

First-year runner Brady Goss was the Cobbers' No.2 finisher. He clocked a PR time of 26:17.3 and gave CC two runners inside the Top 100 at the meet.

Tyler Goss was only 5.3 seconds outside of his brother. He crossed the line in a time of 26:22.6 and was the No.100 finisher.
