Cobbers Honor Seniors In Season Finale

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/28/23)---Concordia honored seniors Matthew Nemer and Erick Torres at halftime on a brisk day that featured a venue change and solid first half of action.

The Cobbers moved their game against league-leading St. Olaf from the grass field to the turf inside Jake Christiansen Stadium due to the snow fall on Thursday night.

Concordia responded by going to-to-to with the Oles for the first 63 minutes of play until St. Olaf scored three goals in 21 minutes to secure the 4-0 win.

The Cobbers finish their season with a 4-11-2 overall record and a 1-7-2 mark in conference play. St. Olaf wins the regular-season championship and heads into the postseason with a 13-3-2 record in all games. The end the league campaign with an 8-0-2 record.

Concordia was outshot 24-4 in total shots and 13-2 in shots on goal. The Oles also held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Jagger Hooper led Concordia with three shots and two were on frame. Nemer had the other shot for CC.

Jensen Waltz stopped seven shots and finished the year with a career-high 95 saves. His 95 stops are ninth most in program history for a single season.
