Cobbers Fall At Regionally-Ranked St. Olaf

NORTHFIELD, Minn. (10/22/22)---Concordia allowed a goal in the 10th minute of play, and then a pair of strikes in the second half and lost 3-0 to regionally-ranked St. Olaf.

The loss drops the Cobbers' overall record to 3-11-1 on the season. CC is now 2-5-1 in the MIAC. The Oles win for the fifth time in the last six games and improve to 11-5 in all games and 7-2-0 in league play.

St. Olaf got on the board at the 10th minute of the opening period mark when they were able to break free down the left wing and deliver a cross to the back post. An Ole attacker ran on to the service and headed home the ball at the 9:41 mark.

The Oles doubled their lead just after the halftime break on a shot from inside the right side of the penalty area. The finely placed shot at 48:31 gave St. Olaf a 2-0 lead.

The final goal came at the 81:07 mark and finished the score line at 3-0.

Concordia was outshot 31-3 in the game with the Oles holding a 12-2 edge in shots on goal.

Senior Telvin Vah had two shots for the Cobbers, while freshman Gannon Brooks added the third.

Goalie Erick Torres made nine saves for CC.    
  
UP NEXT: Concordia will host Wis.-Whitewater on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. in the final non-conference game of the season.
