A Record-Setting Nine Players Earn MIAC Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (3/10/15)—Concordia had a school-record nine players earn MIAC postseason honors. The Cobbers placed a pair of players on the MIAC All-Conference Team while a trio earned MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors and three more were placed on the MIAC All-Rookie Team.

Jordie Bancroft and Andrew Deters earned MIAC All-Conference honors while Charlie Aus, Garrett Hendrickson and Rylan Henley all earned MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention honors for the first time in their careers. Jon Grebosky, Bryan Kronberger and Alex Reichle were all placed on the MIAC All-Rookie Team after completing their first year of collegiate hockey.

Junior Max Smith was the team's representative on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team for the second consecutive season.

Bancroft earned his third consecutive All-MIAC honor by finishing with five goals and eight assists for 13 points in the team's 16 league games. He had three power play goals, a shorthanded goal and one game-winning goal against MIAC opponents. Bancroft had a team-high 66 shots on goal in league play. He also finished second on the team in overall scoring with 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points.

The All-MIAC award is the second straight for Deters. He led the team in scoring in overall games with 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points. He put up six goals and six assists for 12 points in conference games. He tied for the league lead in game-winning goals in MIAC play with two. Deters had 28 shots on goal in league games. He had four games against conference opponents where he put up multiple-point totals. Deters finished his career at Concordia with 79 total points.

Aus and Henley were two of the anchors for the Cobber defense crew. The pair helped Concordia finish second in the MIAC fewest goals allowed in conference play. CC only allowed 37 goals in the 16 MIAC games and had a 2.31 goals against average. Both Aus and Henley finished with two goals and five assists for seven points in league play. They were tied for fifth in the MIAC in defenseman scoring.

Hendrickson earned his second conference postseason award. Last year he was placed on the MIAC All-Rookie Team. Hendrickson had his conference season cut short due to a wrist injury suffered in the third-to-last series of the year. He wound up playing 12 conference games and finished with three goals and seven assists for 10 points.

Grebosky was tied for seventh in the MIAC in scoring by a freshman. He had six goals and four assists for 10 points in his first league season. Kronberger was another member of the CC blue liners. He played in all 16 games and finished with three points. Reichle was one of the two Cobber starting goalies throughout conference play. He played in seven MIAC and finished with a 2.36 goals against average and a 92.5% save percentage. Reichle wound up second in the MIAC in save percentage and fifth in goals against average.
