Senior Salute - Tanner McBain

The Cobber "Senior Salute" series is a way to honor all the Concordia spring sports athletes who had their senior season come to an abrupt halt. We want to highlight one senior each day to thank them for all their hard work, dedication and Cobber spirit they have show over their careers in maroon and gold.

Cobber Senior Salute - Tanner McBain - Baseball

What was one of the things you were looking forward to most in the upcoming season?
The thing I was most looking forward to the season is spending time with the guys. From the seniors I have been blessed to spend 4 years with to the freshman and transfers I have only had a short period with I am able to say that Cobber baseball has gave me some of my closest friends that I can call family.

What is one of the top things you will miss about being a Cobber athlete?
Being able to compete every day with the boys surrounding me as well as cheering on other Cobber athletic programs in their games.

What is something you are going to miss about Concordia College – away from athletics?
The atmosphere of being on Concordia's campus. Everywhere you look you see friends you've made from past classes or professors you had 4 years prior greeting you. The professors I've had have all put me on a path to succeed not only in their class but life after college.

What is one of your favorite highlights/memories from your time playing athletics/being with your team?
There are too many memories I have from Cobber baseball too list on here. From all the road trips with the guys, to the spring break trips to Florida, and all the random stuff that goes on in the Cobber bullpen it is too difficult to just pick one. But if I had to pick a team highlight from my time on the team I would have to go with when we swept St. Thomas last year at home.

What is one of your favorite memories from Concordia away from athletics?
My favorite memories from Concordia away from athletics is all the conversations in DS, get togethers, and Cornstocks spent with great people.

What are your post-graduation plans?
My post graduation plans are unknown as of now. I am currently searching for jobs in the marketing field with hopes of one day getting in to sports marketing.
