Senior Salute - Kevin Wolfe

The Cobber "Senior Salute" series is a way to honor all the Concordia spring sports athletes who had their senior season come to an abrupt halt. We want to highlight one senior each day to thank them for all their hard work, dedication and Cobber spirit they have show over their careers in maroon and gold.

Cobber Senior Salute - Kevin Wolfe - Track and Field

What was one of the things you were looking forward to most in the upcoming season?
I was looking forward to breaking into Cobber men’s shot put Top 25 list that they have started keeping for the last 15-ish years. Sadly the season ended early so I think I’m the next person out.

What is one of the top things you will miss about being a Cobber athlete?
I will miss the relationships that I got to build with fellow throwers from the seniors through freshmen.

What is something you are going to miss about Concordia College – away from athletics?
I’m going to really miss the teachers from the mathematics department. I believe Concordia has a great math department and I believe that all the teachers do a great job. Additionally, I always enjoyed Dr. Biebighauser and his obsession with the number 51.

What is one of your favorite highlights/memories from your time playing athletics/being with your team?
Being able to at least qualify for MIAC indoor and outdoor meet once, and getting to experience the excitement of both as a result.

What is one of your favorite memories from Concordia away from athletics?
I don’t know if it’s my favorite but it’s definitely my most memorable. My freshman year I played a whole set of tennis with a friend of mine in shorts despite 5-degree weather and a couple inches of snow. ( I have not touched a tennis racket since then).

What are your post-graduation plans?
I’m going to NDSU’s graduate program for statistics. I’m doing a teaching assistantship there while I earn my degree.
