Senior Salute - Alex Erickson

The Cobber "Senior Salute" series is a way to honor all the Concordia spring sports athletes who had their senior season come to an abrupt halt. We want to highlight one senior each day to thank them for all their hard work, dedication and Cobber spirit they have show over their careers in maroon and gold.

Cobber Senior Salute - Alex Erickson - Baseball

What is one of the things you were looking forward to most for this year’s season?
The one thing I would say I was looking forward to most this season was being able to see how we would come together and perform as a team. We had a decent showing in Florida and at times when we were all playing the way we were capable of playing, it was pretty fun to watch and we were having a lot of success. Will miss being able to see the success this team could have had in the MIAC season.

What is one of the top things you will miss about being a Cobber athlete?
The one thing I will miss about being a Cobber Athlete is spending time with my teammates and friends. Whether it was practice, road trips, games, team get togethers, and many other events. I will cherish those memories my whole life and have been very fortunate to make some life time friends throughout my time here at Concordia.

What is something you are going to miss about Concordia College – away from athletics?
One thing I’ll miss about Concordia College is just the friendships and relationships I have made with fellow classmates and professors.

What is one of your favorite highlights/memories from your time playing athletics/being with your team?
There have been a lot of good memories made throughout my four years playing baseball here. All the Florida trips come to mind when I think back amongst these four years, just all the time we get to spend together during that week and a half is a great time and it’s definitely a cool opportunity that we all had the chance to do.

What are your post-graduation plans?
My post graduation plans are still up in the air. I have a couple pending interviews that I’m just waiting to hear back from. So at this point I’m still undecided.
