Pick 6 - 6 Items To Help You Take It To The House:
You like it, you need it, you can't live without it. That's right the Pick 6 is back and will give you six tasty tidbitsabout Saturday's season opener.

1. Returning Ground Game – Concordia was fourth in the MIAC in rushing yards at 205.3 yards per game and tied for second in the league with 30 rushing scores. The team returns 78.4% (1,839 yards worth) on the ground.
2. Left Side, Strong Side – The Cobbers return two-time All-MIAC performer Josh Berg and experience with Jon Asprey on the left side of the line. The right side of the line will feature first time starters Tyler Gebhart and Andy McDonnell who, as seniors, are ready for the role.
3. Red Zone Efficiency – When Concordia made its way inside the 20-yard line they generally came away with points in 2015. The Cobbs scored on 78.7% (36-of-41) of their red zone trips last season which tied with Central College (IA) for 11th in the country.
4. Drive for Five – Jamestown has been on the docket as the season opener for the past four seasons. Concordia has defeated the Jimmies for four straight seasons by an average margin of 23 points.
5. 5 Yards. That's it. Five yards - Junior halfback Chad Johnson racked up 566 yards last season to the tune of 5.4 yards per carry but due to his strength and downhill running style he only lost five yards on the ground all season. He finished with a team-high 10 rushing scores in 2015.
6. Where is No. 6? - Concordia has graduated one of the most elusive players in program history in Brandon Zylstra. The New London-Spicer product is currently playing professionally for the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL. Zylstra began the 2015 campaign with a turf toe injury but despite that he still managed to finish sixth in the MIAC with 129.4 all-purpose yards per game.

We tack on the extra point for the season opener
7. We Like Openers - Cobber head coach Terry Horan is 11-4 in his 15 previous season openers.

Scouting the Jimmies:
The Jimmies have a new head coach at the helm as the university hired former record-setting quarterback Josh Kittell as the team's next head coach. Kittell was the Jimmies' offensive coordinator in 2014 but joining North Dakota State's staff in 2015.

Along with a new head coach, Jamestown will have to replace their leading passer, rusher, receiver and their top two tacklers from a season ago.

Dylan Klatt gets the nod under center for Jamestown. The junior from Crookston started last season's opener against Concordia and threw for 231 yards on 18-of-38 passing but saw limited action for the rest of the season. He threw for 74 yards with an interception on 8-of-23 passing in their season opener, a 15-10 loss against Valley City State.

Klatt will be handing off to sophomore tailback Keldrick Sullivan who was the team's secondary tailback as a freshman in 2015. He was tied for the team lead in rushing scores as he found the end zone four times. Sullivan will share carries with fellow sophomore Ty Myron who appeared in five games last season.

The Jimmies graduated their big play threat at receiver last season as Michael Sena averaged 96.7 receiving yards per game and caught seven touchdowns a season ago. They return four juniors and a pair of seniors at wideout, including big-play threat JaRiguez Collier who was the team's third leading receiver last season. He caught 15 balls but averaged 20.9 yards per catch. He is also Jamestown's kick returner.

Jamestown boasts an experienced secondary as they start three seniors and a freshman to cover the deep quarters of the field. The Jimmies graduated their two leading tacklers from a season ago but return Bo Silberg who was third on the team in tackles with 69 takedowns. He also led the defense in tackle for loss yards with 64.7 and sacks with 5.0 a year ago.

Cobber SID Picks To Click:
Once again we will choose one offensive player and one defensive player who we think will have a chance to have a big game on Saturday. It will give the fans a chance to watch the "key" players on either side of the ball. It will hopefully give an insight into what the keys to success might be.

1. Offense - Jason Montonye – Montonye's role increased as the 2015 campaign wore on and the Cobber coaching staff is expecting big things from the junior in 2016. Montonye was the second half of a hook-and-ladder play at the end of last season's opener against the Jimmies and dodged a pair of Jamestown defenders on his way to the end zone. With his speed and big-play ability, look for Chad Johnson to wear down the Jimmie's interior line and for Montonye to open up the field.

2. Defense - Matt Ahrndt – The Benson native led the Cobbers with 47 solo tackles and was third overall with 61 total takedowns at safety, Ahrndt will be joined in the secondary by his younger brother, sophomore Aaron Ahrndt, who has received the starting nod at cornerback for Concordia.
