Peters Named MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention

MOORHEAD, Minn. (5/10/22)---Senior Jake Peters (Glenwood, Minn./Minnewaska Area HS) was named to the MIAC All-Conference Honorable Mention Team in singles play for the 2022 season.

Peters earns conference postseason honors for the first time in his career. He was also selected as the team's representative on the All-MIAC Sportsmanship Team.

Peters was the team's No.1 singles for all nine conference matches and 17 overall matches. Peters went 1-8 against MIAC opponents and was 4-13 in all matches.

Peters was responsible for one of the Cobbers' four individual match wins in MIAC play on the year. His lone victory in conference action came against Hamline when he rallied from 1-set down and won 6-3 in the second set and 10-8 in the super-set tie-breaker.

Peters' other wins on the year came against Wartburg, Adrian and Minn.-Morris.      

Peters finished his Cobber career with 13 overall wins and four victories in MIAC play.
