Season Ender At St. Olaf
NORTHFIELD, Minn. (5/01/21)---Concordia finished off its 2021 by battling St. Olaf in Northfield on Saturday. The Cobbers had to compete with only five players because of previous commitments and lost 9-0 to the Oles.
Concordia had to juggle its singles lineup on Saturday against St. Olaf. The Cobbers fell behind 2-0 after doubles play. Both the No.1 doubles team of Shota Oda and Cole Gillespie, and the No.2 doubles squad of Kipton Jenson and Eli Simonson lost by identical 8-2 scores.
The closest singles bout of the day came at No.5 where sophomore Simonson dropped a 6-4 heartbreaker in the first set and was broken early in the second and lost 6-2.
Gillespie was the only other CC player to earn game wins in singles play. He fell 6-1, 6-1 at No.1 singles.
