Seniors Celebrate With a Walkoff Win And 100th Hit

Concordia hosted its annual Senior Celebration Day and came away with a walkoff win over St. Scholastica as well as a 100th career hit from Caiden Kjelstrom.

A Tale Of Two Final-Inning Rallies

Concordia fell just short of its comeback in Game 1 but then put together an improbable 5-run rally in the bottom of the ninth in the second game to gain a split in its series with league-leading St. Olaf. The Cobbers were edged 4-3 in the opener and then returned the 1-run favor by claiming a 7-6 victory in Game 2.

Concordia started slowly in each game of its conference-opening doubleheader at St. Mary’s and lost 5-0 and 10-4. The Cobbers never led in either game as they gave up three runs in the first inning of Game 1 and conceded nine runs in the third frame of the second game as they were swept in Winona.

Offense Then Pitching Propel Cobbers To Sweep Over Rams

It was a tale of two games in the Cobbers’ first doubleheader in Minnesota. The Cobbers used 17-run, 13-hit offensive attack in Game1 to post a 17-4 victory against North Central and then got a 7-inning, 2-hit shutout performance from pitchers Brett Trutwin, J Riley Ohm, Wyatt Mohr and Ethan Beyer to collect a 5-0 win in the second game against the Rams.

Cobbers Split On Opening Day In Florida

Concordia opened the 2025 season by splitting a pair of games against John Carroll in Winter Haven, Fla. on its annual spring training trip. The Cobbers didn’t commit an error and pounded out 15 hits in the two games as they split their first two games in the Sunshine State for the third time in the past four seasons.
