Cobbers Face Nationally-Ranked Foes

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (9/07/24)---Concordia ran into a pair of nationally ranked opponents on the final day of the Coe Invite and dropped identical 3-0 decisions.

Both Wis.-Platteville and host Coe were in the "others receiving votes" category in the most recent AVCA national rankings and both teams showed their top-level mettle.

The Cobbers could never get on track against Platteville and lost 25-11, 25-7, 25-16. In the final match on Saturday, Concordia played its best set of the day in the third set but fell just short and lost 25-19, 25-17, 25-21.

Concordia will have its first midweek match when they travel west on 94 to take on Valley City on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m.
