Senior Jerica Friese scored two goals in Concordia’s 4-3 loss at Wis.-Superior. The Cobbers conceded two consecutive goals in the second period and third period and dropped its second 1-goal decision against the Yellowjackets. 

Sophomore Abbey Reule scored the Cobbers' lone goal in their series opener at UW-Superior. It was her third goal in the last two games.

Cobbers Can't Sustain Another 1st-Period Success

It was another stellar first period for Concordia at No.2-ranked Gustavus. Less than 24 hours after leading the Gusties 3-0 after the first 20 minutes of play, the Cobbers were tied 1-1 with nationally-ranked Gustavus heading into the second period. Unfortunately for Concordia, the Gusties were able to rattle off another big string of goals and come away with the win. Gustavus scored five straight goals in the second and third periods to send CC to a 6-2 loss.

Concordia surprised everyone in the Don Roberts Ice Arena by bolting out to a 3-0 lead in the first period at #2 Gustavus but four unanswered goals in the second and third periods sent the Cobbers to a 5-4 defeat.

Less than 24 hours after falling by six goals in the season opener, the Cobbers went wire-to-wire with the Auggies before three straight Augsburg goals sent Concordia to a 3-2 defeat.
