Sauvageau Earns MIAC All-Conference Honors

Concordia junior Morgan Sauvageau was named to the MIAC All-Conference Team as selected by the conference coaches. The postseason award is the first of her career for Sauvageau, and she becomes the first Cobber player to earn MIAC All-Conference honors since 2022 when Jerica Friese and Hannah Christian earned the award.

Goal Streak Comes To An End In Season Finale

February 22, 2025

Concordia’s streak of 5-goal games came to an end in the final game of the regular season. The Cobbers gave up three unanswered goals in the final 30 minutes of play against St. Benedict and lost 5-2.

February 21, 2025

Concordia scored five goals for the third straight game and came away with its third straight win. The Cobbers scored three of the final four games against St. Benedict and rallied to post a 5-4 win.

Cullen Hockey Center = Goals And Wins

February 15, 2025

Concordia used another 5-goal game to beat Bethel and earn a sweep of the 2-game series. The Cobbers scored 10 goals and recorded two wins in the two games played at the Cullen Hockey Center.

Season-High Goal Production Earns Series-Opening Win

Concordia exploded for a season-high five goals in their series opener against Bethel and cruised to a 5-1 win. The five goals came after the Cobbers had only scored seven in their last seven games.

Concordia dropped its second straight 5-0 decision at Hamline on Saturday. Like Friday night’s game, the Cobbers stayed close to the Pipers for an extended period of time until Hamline was able to score in bunches to pull away from Concordia.

Epic Late-Game Comeback Falls Short In OT

It was so close to an epic comeback win for the Cobbers in their series finale at St. Catherine. Concordia trailed 3-1 with 6 minutes left in the third period and scored two goals in a span of 4:08 to tie the game but then conceded a goal in the third minute of overtime and lost 3-2.

Junior Jaclyn Lloyd picked the perfect time to score her first goal of the year as she netted the game-winning strike in Concordia’s 3-2 win at St. Catherine in the series opener. 

Senior Abbey Hardwick scored the lone goal for the Cobbers' in their series finale at St. Olaf. It was her third goal of the year.

Concordia scored less than 6 minutes into their series finale at St. Olaf but then the Oles scored a pair of goals in the second period and one more in the third to take a 3-1 win. Abbey Hardwick got the lone goal for CC.

Cobbers Fall In Overtime In Series Opener

January 24, 2025

It was a goalie’s duel in Concordia’s series opener at St. Olaf. Cobber netminder Ashlea Arvidson stopped 24 of the 25 shots she faced but it was the Oles who were able to prevail by scoring the game winner in overtime and earning the 1-0 win.

Cobbers Can't Capitalize On Chances, Fall In Series Finale

The Cobbers unleashed an onslaught of shots against the Saints, but two unlucky bounces in the second period proved to be the difference as the Cobbers lost 2-0 in the series finale.

Coping With A Win

January 17, 2025

Taylyn Cope’s goal with 6:43 left in the third period lifted Concordia to a 3-2 win over St. Scholastica. Cope’s game-winning strike capped a wild final period that saw the Saints erase a 2-goal deficit in a span of 39 seconds after the Cobbers had dominated the first two periods of play and built a 2-0 lead.

Concordia and Wis.-Superior played their third straight 1-goal game of the season as the Yellowjackets were able to score in the final minute of play and come away with a 3-2 win.

Concordia senior goalie Ashlea Arvidson (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral HS) used her 44-save performance in the Cobbers’ upset win over No.9-ranked Wis.-Eau Claire to earn MIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Senior Jerica Friese scored the lone goal in the Cobbers' series final at #9 UW-Eau Claire. She has scored in three of the last five games.
Same Start, Different Finish In Series Finale

January 11, 2025

The start was the same, but the finish was different in the Cobbers’ second game against No.9-ranked Wis.-Eau Claire. A day after the Cobbers upset the Blugolds, Concordia once again notched an early goal to take a 1-0 lead but then gave up five unanswered goals and lost 5-1 to settle for a split in the series.
