Dold Leads Cobbers Over Royals

Katelyn Dold had two goals and an assist as Concordia beat Bethel 5-3 in Blaine on Friday. The Cobbers bolted to a 4-1 lead through the first 46:00 of the game and went on to capture their second conference win in the last three games.

Dold scored back-to-back goals in the second period and then at the start of the third period to put the game out of reach for CC. She also assisted on the first goal of the game in the opening period.

Madison Gendreau, Allie Bondy and Abby Taffe also scored for Concordia who improve to 2-0-1 on the year.

The Cobbers outshot the Royals 29-26 for the game but held a 20-15 advantage through the first two periods of play. Tamara Twite made 23 saves in goal for Concordia.

The two teams will finish off their two-game series on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.
