A Crucial Series Sweep Over The Pipers

Concordia scored three straight goals to erase a 1-0 deficit against Hamline and went on to post a 3-2 win over the Pipers on Saturday. The win gives the Cobbers the series sweep and keeps them in second place in the MIAC. CC is now 12-4-3 overall and 8-3-3 in the MIAC.

Concordia allowed a goal in the second minute of play in the first period but then received goals from Jenna Westerham, Abby Taffe and Madison Gendreau in the final 15:00 of the opening frame to take control of the game.

The Cobbers outshot the Pipers 52-15 in the game. Concordia struggled on the power play. CC was 0-for-9 on the PP and fired 25 shots on goal during that time but couldn't get a puck past HU goalie Sarah Schneekloth.

Concordia freshman goalie Becca Hendrickson stopped 13 shots to pick up her second win of the series. Schneekloth finished with 49 saves in the game.
