A pair of pitchers ruled the Cobbers' doubleheader with Minn.-Morris at the St. Cloud Dome. Senior Karissa Finnigan threw a complete-game, 6-hit shutout in the opener to help CC post a 1-0 win.

Sophomore Kailee Falconer went 5-for-7 with four runs scored in the Cobbers' two games on Sunday at the BLC Kwik Trip Invitational.

The second day of the BLC Kwik Trip Invitational saw Concordia posting an identical storyline to opening-day on Saturday. The Cobbers lost to host Bethany Lutheran and beat another UMAC opponent.

Mallory Leitner got the win in the pitching circle and hit her first collegiate home run as the Cobbers' split their first two games of the 2024 season.

Concordia jumped into the 2014 season by splitting a pair of games in the Bethany Lutheran Dome Invite at the Mankato Dome. The Cobbers fell to host Bethany Lutheran 10-4 in the opener and then posted a 9-1 win over North Central which ended after 5 innings.

Chad Slyter announced that he is stepping down as head coach of the Concordia softball program. Slyter recently finished his seventh season at the helm of the Cobbers. During his seven seasons, he won 74 total games and 21 in conference play.

Concordia lost both games of their season-ending doubleheader at home against St. Mary’s. The Cobbers led 4-3 after five innings in the opener but then surrendered four runs in the sixth and lost 7-4, and in the second game, Concordia fell behind early, could never recover and fell 6-2.

Program First Highlights Home Opener

The 2023 home opener will be one of the most memorable in program history. The Cobbers had their second game against Macalester suspended because of darkness after the ninth inning with the score tied at 7-7. It is the first game called because of darkness at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.

Molly Wilde hit her team-leading fifth home run of the year in Game 1 of the Cobbers' DH at St. Kate's. She is tied for the MIAC lead in long balls.
