Seedborg Named Full-Time Softball Head Coach
MOORHEAD, Minn. (8/06/24)---Concordia Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson announced that Annika Seedborg has been named the new full-time coach of the Cobber softball program.
Seedborg, who was the team's pitching coach for the 2024 season, becomes the first full-time coach for the program.
"Annika comes to Concordia with a wealth of softball knowledge and experience," Bergeson commented. "We are excited for what she will bring to our softball program and our department."
In addition to her position as assistant coach for the Cobbers, Seedborg has also been the Director of Player Operations and Development as well as the head coach for the Under 16 travel team for the Fargo-Moorhead Blaze fastpitch organization for the past two years. In her position as Director of Player Operations she managed all practices, league competitions, tournaments and off-season training for all of the Fargo-Moorhead Blaze programs.
"As I shift from pitching coach to head coach, I look forward to the added responsibilities, specifically in adjusting and setting the program's culture," Seedborg said". "I am fortunate to be able to continue building relationships with our athletes and I look forward to fostering a positive team environment that focuses on continued development and competitiveness for current and incoming classes."
Before coming to Concordia, Seedborg was the assistant coach at Valley City State for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Seedborg played collegiately at Mayville State University from 2019-2022. She earned NorthStar All-Conference Honors in 2019. She was also captain for the Comets for multiple seasons.
Seedborg graduated from Mayville State in 2022 with Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology.

Bergeson also stated that Seedborg will be responsible for the oversight of competitive club sports as well as game management duties for the other home contests at Concordia.
