Bio

Nate Young was hired as the head coach for the Cobber men's tennis program in the summer of 2021. Prior to being named as the head coach, Young was the assistant coach for both teams in 2020. 

Young is also the current head coach for the girls' team at Fargo Shanley High School and an assistant coach for the boys' program. He served as the assistant coach for both teams prior to being named the head coach for the girls' team in 2020.

Young earned his bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education from MSU Moorhead, and while attending MSUM he founded the college's club team. He served as the club president for two years. Nate received the USTA Northern Sectional Leader of the year award in 2018.

Young is a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified Pro, and also works as a tennis instructor at Courts Plus in Fargo where the Cobbers play their home matches during the winter months.
