Cobbers Drop Decision To Gusties

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/14/23)---Concordia gave up three goals in each half and lost 6-0 at home to Gustavus.

The Cobbers conceded a goal in the second minute of play and a pair of goals less than 9 minutes apart midway through the first half.
 
Concordia is now 4-7-2 in all games and 1-5-2 in the MIAC. The Gusties are now 5-3-4 overall and 3-2-2 in league play. They are currently tied for fourth place in the conference standings.

Concordia trailed 3-0 at the halftime break and allowed the three goals in the second half in a span of 13:39 beginning at the 61:49 mark.

Gustavus held a 22-3 advantage in total shots and a 13-1 margin in shots on goal. The Gusties also took eight corners as compared to 0 for the Cobbers.

Cameron Bolinske had the only shot on frame for CC, while Matthew Nemer and Owen Gallo combined for the other two shots.

Junior goalie Jensen Waltz made seven saves in the game and has 74 for the season in all games and 42 in MIAC contests, which is tied for second-most in the league.
