Rick Courtright was hired as an assistant coach for the Cobbers in the summer of 2022. He brings a terrific resume to the position that includes stops in the NFL, NCAA Division I as well as his current position as Defensive Line Coach with the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL.

Courtright has had coaching positions at the University of Southern California where he was the Senior Analyst from 2016-18. His time in the NFL included stops with the Arizona Cardinals where he was an assistant defensive backs coach as well as an assistant special teams coach. He also worked as a scout for the St. Louis Rams and New York Jets.
