Jenson Earns D3football.com National Team Of The Week Honors

MOORHEAD, Minn. (10.19/21)---Cobber senior linebacker Noah Jenson (Broomfield, Colo.) was rewarded for his career game against No.17-ranked Bethel by being named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week.

Jenson is the second Concordia student-athlete to earn National Team of the Week honors this season. Freshman punter/kicker Damien Silus received the award on Sept. 14 for his game against Presentation.

Jenson was one of the leaders of the Cobber Black Shirt defense that held the nationally-ranked Royals to their fewest point and rushing totals of the season.

Jenson's stat line covered almost every defensive category on the charts. He finished with 11.0 tackles, 3 quarterback hurries, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery which he ran 58 yards for the Cobbers' second touchdown of the day.

All four of his stat numbers were career highs.

Jenson stripped Bethel quarterback Jared Roste of the ball as the Royals were driving inside Concordia territory at the start of the fourth quarter. He was able to grab the ball at the same time and turn around and start running downfield. He raced 58 yards, untouched, for the score that set up the Cobbers' attempt at a late-game upset.

Jenson leads Concordia in solo tackles and total tackles this season. He has 27 solo take downs and 14 assisted tackles for a total of 41 tackles. The 41 tackles are a single-season career high for Jenson who is second in the MIAC in solo tackles and 11th in total tackles.
