A Fixture in Division III Top 10

MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/01/16)— For the ninth straight season Concordia finished in the top 10 in Division III in attendance. The Cobbers averaged 4,339 fans for their five home games in 2015 and finished sixth in the nation in attendance per game. It is the 10th time in the last 11 years that the Cobbers have finished the season ranked in the top 10 in Division III attendance.

"I am continually amazed at the support we have every season," commented head coach Terry Horan. "The way the area, alumni, family and friends show up at our games is unbelievable. I am truly blessed to be a part of this program and community."

In addition to another top 10 finish in national attendance, Concordia averaged over 4,300 fans for the seventh straight season. The Cobber are one of only two teams in the MIAC to average at least 4,300 fans in each of the past seven seasons.

The Cobbers had a total of 21,697 fans for their five home games last fall. The largest crowd of the year came at the Family Weekend game against St. John's where Concordia drew 4,924 fans. CC drew over 4,000 fans for every MIAC home game in 2015.

Concordia was a part of another attendance title for the MIAC. The conference led Division III in both total and average attendance. It is the fifth straight season the conference has been the national leader in attendance and marks the 10th time in the last 11 seasons that the MIAC has been tops in fan support.

In 2015, a total of 167,582 fans attended the 51 football games hosted by the MIAC's nine football teams - an average of 3,286 fans per game.
