Cobber Athletic Facilities
Concordia is home to some of the finest indoor and outdoor
athletic facilities in the area. The athletic department and
college administration is constantly striving to provide Cobber
student/athletes with the best experience possible.
In 2010 Concordia started an outdoor facilities campaign to
upgrade the facilities at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.
The "Update the Jake" project is a $5 million dollar renovation
that will feature brand new FieldTurf for both the football stadium
and baseball diamond. There will also be a brand new outdoor locker
room as well as lights for Jake Christiansen Stadium, renovations
to the soccer game field and baseball field and the addition of two
parking lots for the athletic complex.
The Concordia indoor facilities are just impressive. Whether it be
Memorial Auditorium, which has the feel like it was cast out of the
movie Hoosiers while at the same time being one of the largest and
player friendly venues in the MIAC, the competitive swimming pool
or the multi-use Olson Forum all Cobber student/athletes have
top-level facilities to practice and compete in.
The Cobber athletic department is proud of the fact that the
facilities at Concordia are used to host conference tournaments and
championship meets as well as high school regional tournaments,
meets and regular-season events.
