Hannah And Her Sisters Part II
COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (9/08/12)--- For the second straight week, Cobber junior Hannah Knickerbocker pulled away from the rest of the Concordia "pack" and placed second at a multi-team invitational. Knickerbocker clocked a 23:41 at the St. Ben's Invitational and helped CC to a third-place team finish.
Knickerbocker, the reigning MIAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, was :31 faster than any other Cobber finisher at the meet. Her finishing time was also :16 quicker than her time at the MIAC Championship Meet last year.
Concordia had a pair of other runners finish in the top 15 and posted their top 5 runners in the final top 20 team places. Morgan Christian was the next highest finisher for CC. She posted a time of 24:12 and placed ninth. Nicole Woinarowicz was 15th with a mark of 24:41 while Paige Rygg was 17th with a time of 24:47 and Kathryn Stalnaker was 22nd in 25:03. Liz Hanson was the sixth runner for CC finishing 29th with a time of 25:34.
The Cobbers will head to Northfield to compete in the St. Olaf Invite next weekend on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m.
