8-Day, 4-Match Stretch Comes To A Close

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (4/25/21)---The Cobbers, playing for the fourth time in the past eight days, and on the road for the third time during that stretch, had a tough time in Bloomington as they lost 9-0 to Macalester.

Concordia played a pair of matches in The Cities last weekend, and then returned home to host St. Benedict in a midweek match, dropped their third match in the last six outings. CC is 3-3 during that stretch.

Sophomore Raquel Egge was involved in the closest matches of the day. She partnered with senior Jenna Forknell at No.1 doubles and the duo lost 8-3 in a match that could have gone either way.

Egge started slowly in her singles match in the No.1 spot. She lost 6-0 in the opener but then found her groundstrokes and was able to gain some momentum midway through the second set before falling 6-3.

UP NEXT: Concordia has one more match in the 2021 season. The Cobbers will head to Northfield next weekend to take on St. Olaf on Saturday, May 1 at 1:30 p.m.
