Cobbers Finish Off Tracy Lane Memorial Invite

BEMIDJI, Minn. (9/13/22)---Concordia finished off the Tracy Lane Memorial Invite hosted by Bemidji State by carding a team total of 374 and finishing in ninth place.

The Cobbers opened the tournament with a 370 on Monday, and were in eighth place, but then dropped to ninth with the final day 374.

Senior Abbey Frauenholtz led Concordia for the second straight tournament. She opened with a 91 on Monday, and then posted an 89 on Tuesday to finish at 180 and post a 31st-place finish. Frauenholtz' 89 on Day 2 was one of two scores in the 80s for CC at the invite.

Frauenholtz also carded one of two birdies at the tournament for the Cobbers. She came through with a 4 on the par 5, 15th hole on Day 2.   

Junior Lillie Kirchner was the team's No.2 finisher over the 2-day tourney. She started with a 94 on Monday and then bettered that by two shots on Tuesday with a 92. Kirchner recorded the other birdie for the Cobbers when she carded a 3 on the par 4, 17th hole on Tuesday.

Sophomore Joss Leach led Concordia after the first day with an 89. She then fell back with a 99 on Day 2 and was the team's No.3 finisher. Her 89 on Monday marked the first time this season she has posted a score in the 80s. It is also the third time in her career at Concordia she has broken 90 in a round.   

Lauren Lamp and Abbey Hardwick were the final two members of the Cobbers' team in Bemidji. Lamp improved by two shots on Day 2 after firing an opening-round score of 96. Hardwick carded a 101 on Monday, and then fell back to a 113 on Tuesday.  
 
UP NEXT: The Cobbers will head south next weekend to compete in the DIII Midwest Classic on Sept. 17-18. Both rounds will be played at Emerald Greens GC in Hastings, Minn.
