Team Turnover Competes AT MIAC

ST. PAUL, Minn. (10/31/15) ---Concordia had five new runners from last year's squad that competed at the MIAC hampionship Meet and finished 11th for the second straight season.

Ryan Turner led all Concordia runners at the conference meet. He ran a 28:58.8 over the 8k course and placed 59th at the meet.

All five of the Cobbers' top runners were within 1:23 of one another and were only separated by 12 places in the final individual standings.
Team Turnover Competes At 
Last year Concordia's five different runners from the 2014 team which had 292 points and posted an average time of 28:13.3. The 2015 squad finished with 329 points and recorded an average time of 29:27.8.

Turner crossed the line seven seconds ahead of the Cobbers' No.2 runner Race Heitkamp. Heitkamp, competing in his very first cross country season, placed 64th with a time of 29:06.2.

Brandon Quibell was the second CC sophomore to enter the chute. He was 6.3 seconds behind Heitkamp and finished in 66th place. Quibell ran a 29:12.5 and was also competing in his first conference meet.

Matthew Lillehaugen was the other member of the Cobbers to go under 30 minutes for the course. He recorded a time of 29:39.7 and was 69th at the meet.

Luke Lillehaugen was the final member of the CC top 5. He placed 71st with a mark of 30:21.6.    
  
WHAT'S NEXT: Concordia will finish off the 2015 season when they compete at the NCAA Central Region Meet on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. at Wis.-Oshkosh.
