One Point Shy Of A Top 3 Finish

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (9/08/12)--- Concordia was a single point out of top 3 finish at the St. John's Invite on Saturday in Collegeville. The Cobbers finished the meet with 82 total team points which was one shy of third place Gustavus' 81-point team total.

The Cobbers had three individuals finish in the top 20 at the meet. Tanner Sakrismo was the top CC runner – and only top 10 finisher. He clocked a 27:35 and placed 10th. It is his second straight top 10 finish. Last week he placed fourth in the season-opening Valley City Invite.

Ryan Sederquist and Brad McConn were the other two CC top 20 harriers. Sederquist came home in 28:03 and finished in 16th place. McConn, who won the Valley City Invite last week, was only :10 behind Sederquist. He ran a 28:13 and came home in the No.20 spot.

There was a gap between CC's fourth and fifth runners. Scott Anderson had a mark of 28:59 and placed 30th while Luke Lagergren was almost a minute behind at 29:49 and finished in 50th place.

Concordia will continue to compete against MIAC competition when they race in the St. Olaf Invite on Saturday, Sept 15 at 10 a.m.
