Niehaus Named Full-Time Assistant Coach
MOORHEAD, Minn. (7/21/22)---Concordia head coach Tyler Bormann announced that Cade Niehaus has been hired as the full-time assistant for the men's basketball program. Niehaus takes over for TJ Lake who resigned at the start of the summer to take a similar position at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.
Niehaus comes to Concordia after serving as the graduate assistant at Division II MSU Moorhead in 2021-22. Before joining the staff of the Dragons, Niehaus was the head student manager for Division I Northern Iowa from 2019-21. During his time with the Panthers he assisted with video analysis, scouting and game day preparation.
"Cade brings experience from two winning programs he's been a part of and played vital roles in both programs," Bormann said. "His work ethic, attentional to detail, and professionalism make him a rising star in the profession. I'm really excited to add Cade to our staff and know he will be a great addition for our program and our campus."
Niehaus graduated from Northern Iowa in 2021 with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
Niehaus is originally from Fremont, Neb. where he was a member of the Fremont HS boys' basketball and golf teams.
