Quimby Steps Down To Take Position At Gettsyburg

MOORHEAD, Minn. (2/05/25)---Becca Quimby announced that she is stepping down as head coach of the Concordia women's soccer program and is taking the head coach position at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania.

"I am incredibly grateful to Rachel Bergeson (Athletic Director) for hiring me seven years ago and trusting me to lead the Concordia Women's Soccer program," Quimby said. "The Cobber community is truly special, and I am so thankful to have met so many amazing people during my time here. Most of all, I want to thank my players, past and present—for their passion, and commitment, and for allowing me to be part of their journey. Concordia will always hold a special place in my heart."

Quimby came to Concordia in the spring of 2018 and just completed her seventh season as head coach of the Cobbers. During her tenure, Concordia won 42 games and 18 in conference play. Concordia is coming off back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2014 and 2015. She led Concordia to the MIAC playoffs in 2023 where the Cobbers advanced to the MIAC semifinals after beating St. Benedict in St. Joseph. It was the first trip to the postseason for Concordia since 2015.

"I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Becca for the work she did within our women's soccer program," Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson commented. "I also want to thank her for all the work she did within our entire department and across campus. We are sad to see Becca leave, but we wish her well in her next adventure as head coach at Gettysburg."

In addition to her Concordia coaching duties, Quimby was the department's NCAA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Designee. She also served on Concordia's Bias Incident Response Team and led the Cobber Playbook for Change initiative, facilitating discussions on sensitive topics and launching a peer advocacy program.

Quimby was also on the NCAA women's soccer Region IX regional advisory committee and served as an NCAA tournament site representative.
