Davis Ends Drama Filled Duals Day

LA CROSSE, Wis. —Concordia continued its dual dominance on the season as they went 2-1 at the Wis.- La Crosse Candlewood Suites Dual Meet. The Cobbers only loss was a narrow defeat at the hands of No.4-ranked Wis. La Crosse.

Concordia posted wins over large Wisconsin state schools Wis.-Stevens Point and No.15-ranked Wis.-Whitewater to up their dual-meet mark to 4-1 on the year.

Davis' 9-3 win against Jake Anderson of Wis.-Whitewater proved to be the decisive victory in the 21-18 Cobber win.

The Cobbers started the day by claiming a 31-12 victory over Stevens Point. The Cobbers won the first five matches of the opener to roll to a 22-0 lead.

Junior Jakob Stageberg set the tone by recording a pin fall at 125. Aaron Dick then won by major decision at 133, Adam Presler got a 7-2 decision at 149, Blane Tschida won by pin fall at 149 and then Nich Gravdahl battled to a 4-3 win at 157.
