The Oles broke a 1-1 deadlock with three consecutive goals in a span of 7:46 midway though the final period to gain a split in the 2-game series.

The only goal of the first 46 minutes of play came in the seventh minute of the opening period when St. Olaf gained possession of the puck on a turnover in the Cobber zone and turned it into an unassisted goal at 6:36 mark.

The game would remain at 1-0 through two periods of play. Concordia finally broke the scoreless mark on the scoreboard when senior Brenna Mjoness notched her team-leading fifth goal of the season at 6:17 of the third frame. Mjoness settled the puck on the left sideboards and then flicked a snap shot that went over the right shoulder of the Ole goalie and into the top corner of the net. Josie Hell, who kept the puck in at the blueline, and Maiah McCowan were awarded assists on the game-tying goal.

The goal was also Mjoness' third of the series and fifth in the last four games.

St. Olaf then scored three straight special team's goals. They opened the trio with a power play tally at 11:21, scored a shorthanded goal at 13:35, and added a shorthanded, empty-net finish at 18:47 after the Concordia pulled goalie Kiana Flaig with 3:34 left in the period.
