MOORHEAD, Minn. (9/10/22)---88 seconds. Concordia had their 1-1 deadlock with Wis.-Superior turned into a 4-1 deficit in a span of 88 seconds. The Yellowjackets scored three goals in just 1:28 to come away with a 3-goal non-conference victory in Moorhead.
The three goals in the first 15-minutes of the second capped a streak of four unanswered goals by Superior after the Cobbers took a 1-0 lead midway through the first half.
The loss is the first in the last two games for Concordia who falls to 1-3-0 on the year. The Yellowjackets are now 2-1 with consecutive wins over MIAC opponents.
The Cobbers got on the board first when senior Nate Weaver 1-timed a pass in the middle of the field to Telvin Vah on the rights side of the UWS defense. Vah took two touches and found Mason Weigel who was running free down the left wing. Weigel let Vah's pass roll all the way through to the top of the 6-yard box before lacing a left-footed shot into the far corner of the net.
The goal was Weigel's second of the season.
