Cobbers Fall To Regionally-Ranked Knights

FARGO, N.D. (3/29/15)—Concordia finished off the pre-Easter potion of its schedule by losing 9-0 to regionally-ranked Carleton.

Concordia, who has yet to play outside since returning from their spring break to California, have played eight of their nine matches this year on a Sunday and fall to 2-7 on the season. CC is now 0-6 in MIAC play. The Knights, who are unbeaten in MIAC competition and ranked eighth in the Central Region in the latest ITA poll, are now 9-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

The Cobbers' closest match in the opening doubles play came at No.1 doubles where Jade Haseltine and Taylor Peterson lost 8-2.

Concordia stumbled in singles play against the Knights. The Cobbers had three players win games during singles play. Brittany Glatt, Peterson and Susan Zniewski all came away with a single game victory.

The Cobbers will now have a 12-day break before returning to competition when they play at St. Catherine on Friday, Apr. 10 at 4:30 p.m. That match is the opener for a back-to-back road MIAC tripleheader. CC will play at Macalester on Saturday, Apr. 11 and then face Macalester in St. Paul on Sunday, Apr. 12.
